What Must I Do To Be Saved?

THE PLAN OF SALVATION

 

Jesus established His church on the Day of Pentecost, AD 33 in the city of Jerusalem.  The apostles shared this divine plan and it has been repeated many times since that day.  The plan consists of these steps—

 

HEAR  the Gospel, Romans 10:17 (read more)

BELIEVE  it, Hebrews 11:6 (read more)

REPENT   of sins, Luke 13:3,5 (read more)

CONFESS  Jesus, Matthews 10:32-33 (read more)

Be BAPTIZED  Acts 2:38; 22:16 (read more)

 

 

 

 

WORSHIP IN THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH

 

 

The Lord’s church must worship in spirit and truth, John 4:24.  It must worship on the first day of the week, Acts 20:7.  According to the New Testament, worship in the Lord’s church must include these acts—

 

ASSEMBLE, Hebrew 10:25

SING, Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16

PRAY, 1Corinthians 14:15; 1Thessalonians 5:17

PREACH, 2Timothy 4:2

COMMUNE, 1Corinthians 11:23-30

GIVE, 2Corinthians 9: 6-8
